MR is the position of Matric Recruit in Indian Navy. In this post candidates are posted in fire arms &. The different post regarding MR are : Chef(MR), Steward(MR) & Sanitary Hygienist(MR). Chef are given the duty of preparing food according to the menu. Steward are allotted the duty to serve food in the messes of officers & Sanitary Hygienist are for the cleaning of washrooms & other areas. In addition to all these particulars duties, every MR is given other duties also which are beneficial in the effective running of the organization. 

The educational qualification for these posts of MR is 10th pass by recognized board/university. Age of the candidate must be between 17-20 years. For the selection of the candidate, first computer based examination is conducted & after generating the merit list Physical Fitness & Medical test are conducted and the candidate who clear all the test get posted.
